Lake County, IL.- El 6 de marzo de 2020, el Equipo de Warrants de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake junto con el Servicio de Alguaciles de los EE. UU. – La Fuerza de Tarea Regional de Fugitivos de los Grandes Lagos (USMS-GLRFTF) detuvo a tres hombres buscados en relación con una restricción ilegal e investigación agravada de la batería, que ocurrió en una carretera en Long Grove.
El 25 de enero de 2020, los agentes del alguacil tomaron un informe sobre una víctima femenina de 18 años que fue maltratada y robada. Investigaciones posteriores revelaron que la víctima asistió a una fiesta en un hotel en Mundelein con Jovanni Mora, 21, Neslye Y. Palacios-Flores, 23 y Juan A. Colón, 24, todos en la cuadra 400 de South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Waukegan Mora y Colón son miembros documentados de pandillas callejeras.
Después de estar involucrada en una discusión, la víctima solicitó que la llevaran a su residencia en Arlington Heights. Mora, Colón y Palacios-Flores le dieron el aventón, pero idearon un plan para robar a la víctima. La víctima fue retirada con fuerza del automóvil, luego fue golpeada y pateada en la cabeza y el cuerpo. El dinero fue robado de sus bolsillos durante el ataque. La víctima fue empujada a la fuerza nuevamente dentro del vehículo. Una corta distancia después, el vehículo se deslizó fuera de la carretera y cayó en una zanja. Colón y Mora salieron del vehículo para empujarlo, y la víctima aprovechó la oportunidad para escapar y señalar a un automovilista que pasaba. La víctima buscó tratamiento médico después del ataque.
Después de una investigación, los detectives del alguacil obtuvieron órdenes de arresto para los tres el 26 de febrero de 2020, por robo, agresión agravada y restricción ilegal. Mora, Colón y Palacios-Flores fueron transportados a la Cárcel del Condado de Lake.

Trio Arrested Following Robbery Investigation
On March 6, 2020, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Team in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service – Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended three men wanted in connection with an unlawful restraint and aggravated battery investigation, which occurred on a roadway in Long Grove.
On January 25, 2020, sheriff’s deputies took a report regarding an 18-year-old female victim who was battered and robbed. Further investigation revealed the victim attended a party at a hotel in Mundelein with Jovanni Mora, 21, Neslye Y. Palacios-Flores, 23, and Juan A. Colon, 24, all of the 400 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Waukegan. Mora and Colon are documented street gang members.
After being involved in an argument the victim requested a ride home to her Arlington Heights residence. Mora, Colon, and Palacios-Flores gave her the ride, but devised a plan to rob the victim. The three pulled the car over in a secluded area near Arlington Heights Road and Checker Road in Long Grove. The victim was forcefully removed from the car, then punched and kicked in the head and body. Money was stolen from her pockets during the attack. The victim was then forcefully pushed back into the vehicle. A short distance later, the vehicle slid off the roadway and into a ditch. Colon and Mora exited the vehicle to push it out, and the victim used the opportunity to run away and flag down a passing motorist. The victim sought medical treatment following the attack.
Following an investigation, sheriff’s detectives obtained arrest warrants for the three on February 26, 2020, for robbery, aggravated battery, and unlawful restraint.
