Lake County, IL. – El Fiscal estatal del Condado de Lake, Eric F. Rinehart, fue juramentado por la jueza principal del condado de Lake, Diane E. Winter, frente a casi dos docenas de amigos y familiares en la corte del condado de Lake en Waukegan el pasado martes por la mañana.
Rinehart, de 44 años, dijo que su misión como Fiscal del Estado del Condado de Lake será “luchar todos los días para hacer que el Condado de Lake sea más seguro sin sacrificar nuestro compromiso con la igualdad, la transparencia o los derechos de todas las personas”.
“Siempre procederemos con compasión y transparencia, pero nuestra primera responsabilidad con la gente del condado de Lake es completar la misión: reduciremos el crimen y acabaremos con las disparidades en nuestro tribunal”, dijo Rinehart. “Prometo que mi oficina protegerá a todas las comunidades independientemente de su raza, clase, género u orientación sexual”.
Rinehart está casado con su esposa, Stephanie, y tiene dos hijos, Sam y Teddy.
Banek, nueva forense

Banek, quien fue elegida para su primer mandato, fue uno de los cuatro funcionarios del condado que tomaron posesión el pasado martes. Erin Cartwright, reelecta
Erin Cartwright prestó juramento para su segundo mandato como Secretaria del Tribunal de Circuito del Condado de Lake por la Honorable Jueza Patricia Cornell. New Officers Sworn in
Lake County State’s Attorney Eric F. Rinehart was sworn in by Lake County Chief Judge Diane E. Winter in front of nearly two dozen friends and family members at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan Tuesday morning.
Rinehart, 44, said his mission as Lake County State’s Attorney will be to “fight every day to make Lake County safer without sacrificing our commitment to equality, transparency, or the rights of all individuals.”
“We will always proceed with compassion and transparency, but our first responsibility to the people of Lake County is the completion of the mission: we will reduce crime and end disparities in our courthouse,” Rinehart said. “I promise my office will protect all communities regardless of race, class, gender, or sexual orientation.”
Rinehart is married to his wife, Stephanie, and has two sons, Sam and Teddy.
Banek Sworn in as New Coroner
Newly elected Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek was sworn into office this morning by 19th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Diane Winter. Banek, who was elected to her first term, was one of four countywide officials sworn into office today. The others are newly elected Lake County State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart, and Lake County Recorder of Deeds Mary Ellen Vanderventer and Lake County Circuit Court Clerk Erin Cartwright Weinstein, who were both re-elected to their positions.
Cartwright, reelected
Erin Cartwright Weinstein was sworn in for her second term as Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court by the Honorable Judge Patricia Cornell. The employees of the Circuit Clerk’s Office then joined together via video conference to be deputized by Circuit Clerk Cartwright Weinstein for our first ever virtual ceremony.
