Waukegan, IL.- Si usted desea votar en las elecciones del 6 de noviembre, confirme que su registro de votante contenga su nombre y domicilio físico actual. La mejor manera de verificar es mediante los archivos de registro de votantes de la oficina de la Secretaria del Condado de Lake (LCCO, por sus siglas en inglés). Usted puede revisar su registro de elector en LakeVoterPower.info o llamando al Departamento de Servicios a Votantes de la Secretaria al número 847-377-2410.
Algunos votantes han visitado a la página web de la Junta Electoral del Estado de Illinois (SBOE, por sus siglas en inglés) y no lograron confirmar su registro. Existen varias razones por los resultados inconclusos. Por ejemplo, podría ser debido a la falta de verificación de la información colectada con el registro original del votante–especialmente si el registro ocurrió antes de que un campo fuera agregado al formulario de solicitud para incluir los últimos cuatro dígitos del número de seguro social del votante. La oficina de la Secretaria Wyckoff es la encargada oficial de los registros de votantes del Condado de Lake y sube esta información diariamente a la base de datos del SBOE. Los registros del LCCO son los registros principales, y se alienta a los votantes que verifiquen el estatus de su registro con el LCCO primero.
Are you ready for the election?
If you want to vote in the November 6th election, be sure to confirm your voter registration record is up-to-date and shows your current name and physical street address. The best way to do this is to check the Lake County Clerk’s office (LCCO) records. You can do this by logging on to LakeVoterPower.info or by calling the Clerk’s Voter Services Department at 847.377.2410.
Some voters have visited the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBOE) website and were unable to confirm their registration. There are a variety of reasons for inconclusive responses. Clerk Wyckoff’s office is the official record keeper for new and updated Lake County voter registration records and uploads this information daily to the SBOE database. The LCCO records are the authoritative records, and voters are encouraged to first check their registration status with the LCCO.
