Lake Villa, IL. – Un hombre de Lake Villa ha sido acusado de pornografía infantil, después de haber sido encontrado con imágenes y videos desnudos del hijo de su compañero de cuarto.
El 12 de junio de 2023, los oficiales del alguacil del condado de Lake respondieron a una residencia en la cuadra 37400 de West Park Lane, Lake Villa, por un informe de pornografía infantil que se había descubierto en el teléfono celular de Eric R. Studdard, 37, de la misma dirección.
Investigaciones posteriores revelaron que Studdard poseía numerosos videos e imágenes de pornografía infantil, incluida la pornografía infantil de un menor que vivía en la misma dirección.
Studdard fue arrestado y luego de revisar los hechos y circunstancias del caso, la Oficina del Fiscal del Estado del Condado de Lake aprobó los siguientes cargos:

• Pornografía infantil (delito mayor de clase X)
• Pornografía infantil (delito mayor de clase 2)
• Dos cargos de pornografía infantil (delitos graves de clase 3)
  El alguacil John D. Idleburg dijo: “Afortunadamente, la madre de la víctima se comunicó de inmediato con nuestra oficina cuando descubrió las imágenes de su hija en el teléfono del delincuente. Siempre invertiremos todos nuestros recursos para identificar y arrestar a quienes se aprovechan de los niños. Dicho esto, sigue siendo increíblemente importante que los padres y tutores revisen de forma rutinaria el contenido de los dispositivos electrónicos de sus hijos”.
  Los detectives del alguacil continúan investigando y es posible que se presenten cargos adicionales. Studdard permanece recluido en la cárcel del condado de Lake en espera de una audiencia judicial inicial esta mañana. Todos los acusados se presumen inocentes a menos que se pruebe su culpabilidad en un tribunal de justicia.

Man charged with child pornography
An Unincorporated Lake Villa man has been charged with child pornography, after being found with nude images and videos of his roommate’s child.
On June 12, 2023, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the 37400 block of West Park Lane, Unincorporated Lake Villa, for a report of child pornography that had been discovered on the cellular phone of Eric R. Studdard, 37, of the same address.
Further investigation revealed Studdard possessed numerous videos and images of child pornography, including child pornography of a juvenile that lived at the same address.
Studdard was arrested and after reviewing the facts and circumstances of the case, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the following charges:

• Child Pornography (Class X Felony)
• Child Pornography (Class 2 Felony)
• Two Counts of Child Pornography (Class 3 Felonies)
  Sheriff John D. Idleburg said, “Thankfully the mother of the victim immediately contacted our office when she discovered the images of her daughter on the offender’s phone. We will always invest all of our resources to identify and arrest those who prey on children. That said, it remains incredibly important for parents and guardians to routinely review the content of your children’s electronic devices.”
  Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate, and additional charges are possible. Studdard remains held in the Lake County Jail pending an initial court hearing this morning. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
