Ruta peatonal Knowles Road
La Villa de Gurnee completó recientemente el camino peatonal de Knowles Road (PED, por sus siglas en inglés), un camino de asfalto de tres cuartos de milla de 8 pies de ancho que se extiende desde Rollins Road hasta Dada Drive. El camino se conecta con ComEd Trail que se extiende hasta Hunt Club Road y Rollins Savanah Trails, justo al oeste de la ruta 45.
La Villa de Gurnee también planea instalar un camino PED a lo largo de Dilley’s Road desde ComEd Trail en Pembrook Water Tower hasta Stearns School Road. Se prevé que la construcción comience a fines de agosto cuando el municipio firmó un acuerdo con la División de Transporte del Condado de Lake (LCDOT, por sus siglas en inglés) para compartir los costos del proyecto. Programa de repavimentación

Proyecto principal de agua

Reemplazo de tubería
El contratista municipal, Campanella and Sons Inc., estará aburrido bajo Grand Avenue la próxima semana. El municipio todavía está esperando la aprobación final de la División de Transporte del Condado de Lake para comenzar a trabajar a lo largo de O’Plaine Road.
Knowles Road pedestrian path
The Village recently completed the Knowles Road Pedestrian (PED) Path, an 8 foot wide three quarters of a mile asphalt path that stretches from Rollins Road to Dada Drive. The path connects into the ComEd Trail that runs to Hunt Club Road and the Rollins Savanah Trails, just west of Route 45.
The Village is also planning to install a PED path along Dilley’s Road from the ComEd Trail at the Pembrook Water Tower to Stearns School Road. Construction is anticipated to begin in late August as the Village entered into an agreement with the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) to share the costs of the project. LCDOT will also be improving the intersection at Hunt Club and Washington as this project will tie the Washington Street bike path together at the intersection and travel down to Hunt Club Road to tie into Dada Drive.
Street resurfacing program
The Village’s contractor, J.A. Johnson Paving, has begun milling operations on various streets in this year’s resurfacing program and will continue in the coming weeks. The contractor has begun repairing driveways damaged by curb and sidewalk work. The final surface will be placed on Nursery, Greystone, Sutton, and Sawyer next week. Streets that have been milled will receive their first layer of asphalt next week. The removal and replacement of damaged culverts for the streets on the east side of Gurnee will also begin next week.
Water Main Project
The Village’s Contractor, Campanella and Sons Inc., has completed the installation of the new water main and residents and businesses part of this project have new water services up to the shut off valve (b-box). In the next week, the contractor will be installing a lining in the existing sanitary sewer to help extend the life of the sanitary system. Residents will be seeing a notice on their door with further information about that process. Restoration is soon to follow.
Water main replacement
The Village’s Contractor, Campanella and Sons Inc., will be boring under Grand Avenue next week. The Village is still waiting for the final approval from the Lake County Division of Transportation to begin work along O’Plaine Road.
