Es arrestada por el Sheriff tras meses de investigación luego de atropellar, causar la muerte y darse a la fuga en octubre pasado.

Lake County, IL. – Tras meses de investigación, fue capturada la presunta mujer que se dio a la fuga tras atropellar al peatón Wojciech Glowik el pasado mes de octubre causándole la muerte, informó la oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake.
Los investigadores de accidentes de tráfico concluyeron su investigación sobre este accidente de atropello y fuga, que llevó cientos de horas de investigación que los llevó a Amanda Cisneros-Elacio, de 20 años, de la cuadra 800 de East Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights.
La investigación indicó que Cisneros-Elacio conducía el Audi cuando golpeó a Wojciech Glowik. Una extensa investigación realizada por los investigadores de accidentes y los detectives del alguacil confirmaron que Cisneros-Elacio fue de hecho responsable de golpear a Glowik y huir de la escena.
Luego de la conclusión de la investigación, que consistió en docenas de entrevistas, registros solicitados, registros obtenidos a través de una orden de allanamiento, revisión de videovigilancia y más, los investigadores de accidentes del alguacil obtuvieron una orden de arresto para Cisneros-Elacio el 28 de febrero de 2022 por un cargo de falta de notificación de un accidente que causa la muerte. Un juez del condado de Lake fijó la fianza de la orden en $500,000.00.
Luego de la emisión de la orden, Cisneros-Elacio fue arrestada por los investigadores de accidentes del alguacil en su residencia, sin incidentes. Actualmente permanece detenida en la Cárcel del Condado de Lake con una fianza de $500,000.00, en espera de una audiencia judicial inicial programada en la sala T020.
El sheriff John D. Idleburg dijo: “Estoy muy orgulloso de nuestros investigadores de accidentes de tráfico y los detectives que fueron incansables en su búsqueda para localizar a la persona responsable de abandonar la escena de este accidente mortal. Si el conductor se hubiera detenido y pedido ayuda, tal vez el joven que murió habría tenido la oportunidad de sobrevivir. Espero que este arresto proporcione a la familia de la víctima los primeros pasos hacia el cierre”.
Arrested: responsible for striking
Lake County Sheriff’s Traffic Crash Investigators concluded their investigation into this hit and run crash, which took hundreds of investigative hours.
The investigation led them to Amanda Cisneros-Elacio, 20, of the 800 block of East Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights. The investigation indicated Cisneros-Elacio was driving the Audi when it struck Glowik. Extensive investigation by sheriff’s crash investigators and sheriff’s detectives confirmed Cisneros-Elacio was indeed responsible for striking Glowik and fleeing from the scene.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, which consisted of dozens of interviews, subpoenaed records, records obtained via search warrant, reviewing video surveillance, and more, sheriff’s crash investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Cisneros-Elacio on February 28, 2022 for one count of failure to report an accident causing death. A Lake County Judge set bond on the warrant at $500,000.00.
Following the issuance of the warrant, Cisneros-Elacio was arrested by sheriff’s crash investigators at her residence, without incident. She currently remains held at the Lake County Jail on $500,000.00 bail, pending an initial court hearing scheduled for this morning in courtroom T020.
Sheriff John D. Idleburg said, “I am very proud of our traffic crash investigators and sheriff’s detectives who were relentless in their pursuit to locate the person responsible for leaving the scene of this deadly crash. If the driver had only stopped and called for help, maybe the young man who died would have had an opportunity to survive. I hope this arrest provides the victim’s family with the first steps toward closure.”
