San Antonio, TX. – Tigres UANL, Club de Futbol Monterrey, PRIMETIME Sports y el Alamodome, anunciaron que el Clásico Regio regresa a Texas el 12 de octubre en el Alamodome de San Antonio.
El Clásico Regio es el clásico regional más intenso de México donde año con año, los dos equipos regiomontanos se lo juegan todo. En Texas, estos dos equipos juegan como si estuvieran en casa dada la gran cantidad de regiomontanos que residen en este hermoso estado.
El año pasado, estos grandes equipos se enfrentaron en el primer Clásico Regio amistoso en Texas en el Shell Energy Stadium de Houston. El partido fue un completo éxito y las entradas se agotaron apenas unos días después de que se anunciara el partido. Se espera que en esta ocasión el Alamodome sea testigo de un segundo lleno consecutivo del Clásico Regio, cerrando así el Mes de la Herencia Hispana.
Ron Nirenberg, Alcalde de San Antonio, dio la bienvenida a estos equipos legendarios y a toda la afición regiomontana que visitará por primera vez esta sede para este apasionante Clásico. También el Cónsul General de México en San Antonio, Rubén Minutti, dio una cálida bienvenida a sus compatriotas.
Damián Álvarez y Jesús Zavala, leyendas de Tigres y Rayados respectivamente, hablaron sobre la relevancia de este Clásico desde la perspectiva del jugador. Finalmente, Xavier Sánchez, Director Comercial de Rayados, y Javier Tafich, Director Comercial de Tigres, inauguraron la cuenta regresiva para este gran evento.
El anuncio del partido se produjo en el marco de la Fiesta San Antonio 2024 y para continuar con la tradición, ambos equipos entregaron a los invitados especiales una medalla conmemorativa para celebrar la ocasión.
Habrá muchas actividades en torno a esta esperada celebración, incluido un gran festival que contará con leyendas de ambos equipos, mascotas, trofeos, celebridades y actuaciones musicales.

The Classic Regio returns to Texas
Tigres UANL, Club de Futbol Monterrey, PRIMETIME Sports and the Alamodome, announced today that the Clásico Regio returns to Texas on October 12 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The Clásico Regio is the most intense regional classic in Mexico where year after year, the two Monterrey teams play everything. In Texas, these two teams play as if they were at home given the large number of Monterrey residents who reside in this beautiful state.
Last year, these great teams met in the first friendly Clásico Regio in Texas at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston. The match was a complete success, with tickets selling out just a few days after the match was announced.
