Beach Park, IL. – On July 20, 2019, at approximately 1:20AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Sheridan Road and Mawman Avenue, Beach Park, for a car versus pedestrian traffic crash with injuries.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and found the victim, a 63-year-old male of Waukegan, laying on the roadway with serious injuries. The male was transported via ambulance to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan for treatment.
Preliminary investigation shows the man was riding a bicycle, traveling northbound on Sheridan Road. As he was traveling northbound, he was struck by a northbound vehicle, which then fled from the scene.
