Christopher Alexander Hall

Christopher Alexander Hall, 1984-2024.

On a bright and beautiful day on February 26, 1984, Christopher Alexander Hall aka “Chris” “Chrisdinho” was born in Belize City, Belize, to Reuben and Ellen Hall. At the age of 6 months old his parents moved from Belize to Houston, TX, in the USA leaving Chris and his older sister Sarley to live with their aunt Bernice and her family. At the age of 2, his aunt passed away and he went to live with another aunt, June in Carolina Village. His parents then moved from Texas to Illinois and at the age of 4 his parents brought Chris along to live with them in Lake Forest, Illinois, where Chris’ adventure began.
He attended Cherokee, Sheridan then Deer Path elementary school and graduated from Lake Forest High school and later attended the University of Chicago whereas a freshman he was drafted on their soccer team. He obtained his associate degree from The College of Lake County, studied Information Technology (IT) at Devry University and later completed his Cyber Security Classes online.
Chris developed a soccer (football) “obsession” from the young age of 4. He started his journey playing soccer engaged in AYSO and his passion endured until his 39th year. Although soccer was his pride and joy, he excelled as an athlete at golf, basketball, hockey, skateboarding, billiards and even swimming. He was very competitive, always willing to try any sports or activity which require thought whether it’s magic (his hands were swift), video games (spending hours reading the books to find their secret plays) or gaming (working hard to train to be a card dealer); and he never gave up until he mastered them. During this time, he encountered many, many, many friends; his ease, mannerism and very mellow personality made it very easy to engage and spark a conversation, making countless friends.
On October 12th, 2013, Chris met his beautiful wife Maria, and their love story began. During their first date at Starbucks, a simple Frappuccino kindled three years of dating. Just two days before his passing, Chris mentioned that was one of their best dates. The two later married on September 30th, 2016, and their union brought about 5 miraculous blessings, 4 sons and their beautiful princess: Christopher-17, Ethan-12, twin boys Aaron and Axel -4 and Alexa-8. Chris loved his family and always looked forward to spending quality time. Proudly, Chris assured that his passion for basketball and soccer was passed on to Christopher and Ethan; each day during the summer days (whether rain or shine) Chris took them to practice while also accompanying Alexa, Aaron, and Axel to the park. Chris also loved family game nights, which involved competitive Donkey Kong battles and Pitty-Pat along with nothing other than Reggae music in the background.
Throughout the years Chris held many jobs, but his most recent admiration and excitement has been training to work at the casino. It thrilled him to be engaged while learning something new. He proudly demonstrated his skills to his family and friends, boasting nimble fingers and a sharp mind. On a dark, cold day in January, Chris gathered paperwork in preparation to commence working at the new American casino in Waukegan when he departed us. Chris, a friendly, calm, clever, brave, adaptive, determined, curious, willing, easy-going, witty, amiable, empathetic, and humble gentleman is survived by his wife Maria, 5 children (Chris, Ethan, Alexa, Axel, Aaron), his mother Ellen, father Reuben, sister Sarley and nephew Morgan, numerous aunts and uncles, ample cousins, and an abundance of friends.
His charming personality and smile will last forever, and he will be greatly missed by all. Chris visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 beginning at 9:00 am at the funeral home as well. Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL 60048. For more information, please call, 847-623-3730.
