Waukegan, IL. – El Distrito de Parques de Waukegan y el Departamento de Policía de Waukegan se asocian para organizar Touch a Truck 2023 y Waukegan Night Out el viernes 4 de agosto de 2023 de 5 p.m. a 8 p.m. en la playa municipal de Waukegan, ubicada en 201 E. Seahorse Drive.
Los asistentes de todas las edades tendrán la oportunidad de ver, tocar y explorar camiones, vehículos policiales, máquinas y más.
El Departamento de Policía de Waukegan celebrará National Night Out, una campaña anual de desarrollo comunitario que promueve las asociaciones entre la policía y la comunidad y la camaradería del vecindario.
Los oficiales de policía interactuarán con los niños y sus familias a través de actividades prácticas y exhibiciones, incluyendo una demostración de la unidad K-9. Después del evento, el Distrito de Parques de Waukegan presentará una película gratis en el Pabellón Stiner.
La película será para toda la familia, con palomitas de maíz gratis disponibles hasta agotar existencias. Se alienta a los asistentes a traer refrigerios, mantas, sillas, equipo de picnic y repelente de insectos.

Touch a Truck and Waukegan Night Out
The Waukegan Park District and Waukegan Police Department are partnering to host the 2023 Touch a Truck and Waukegan Night Out on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at the Waukegan Municipal Beach, located at 201 E. Seahorse
Drive. Attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to see, touch, and explore trucks, police vehicles, machines, and more.
The Waukegan Police Department will be celebrating National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Police officers will interact with children and their families through hands-on activities and exhibitions, including a K-9 unit demonstration.
Following the event, the Waukegan Park District will host a free movie at the Stiner Pavilion. The movie will be family-friendly, with free popcorn available while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks, blankets, chairs, picnic gear, and insect repellent.
