Waukegan, IL.- The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce Sheriff John Idleburg is the recipient of the 2019 Chicago Peoples Voice Most Influential African American of Lake County. Sheriff Idleburg was presented the award at a ceremony held on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Midlane Country Club.
Sheriff Idleburg was selected for his dedication to the Lake County community, his efforts to build strong relationships between the community and law-enforcement, as well as the leadership and stability he’s brought to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Idleburg said, “I have always strived to live my life serving others, and I am so honored to receive this prestigious award. Thank you to the selection committee and to all of those who received awards at the ceremony. I’m thrilled to serve the Lake County community as your Sheriff, and so proud to lead such a dedicated group of men and women at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.”
