Lake County, IL.- La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake arrestó a cuatro personas por conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol durante la reciente Campaña de Seguridad del Tráfico del Super Bowl. Además, los oficiales del alguacil emitieron 18 citaciones de cinturones de seguridad, 29 citaciones por exceso de velocidad, 30 otras citaciones de tráfico y arrestaron a ocho por conducir con una licencia de conducir suspendida o revocada.
El sheriff John Idleburg dijo: “Esta campaña de seguridad vial podría haber terminado, pero los agentes de nuestro sheriff continuarán buscando y arrestando a quienes conducen bajo la influencia. Mantener a los conductores discapacitados fuera de las carreteras salva vidas”.
El fin de semana de Super Bowl “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” y “Click It or Ticket” se llevó a cabo del 31 de enero al 3 de febrero de 2020.

Super Bowl Weekend Traffic Safety Campaign Results
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested four people for driving under the influence of alcohol during the recent Super Bowl Traffic Safety Campaign. Additionally, sheriff’s deputies issued 18 seatbelt citations, 29 speeding citations, 30 other traffic citations, and arrested eight for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
Sheriff John Idleburg said, “This traffic safety campaign might be over, but our sheriff’s deputies will continue seeking and arresting those who drive under the influence. Keeping impaired drivers off the roadways saves lives.”
The Super Bowl weekend “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” enforcement effort ran from January 31 through February 3, 2020.
The recent law enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
