Districts reduced from 21 to 19
The last Census of 2020 resulted in a decrease in Lake County’s population, and with it, an impact on the relocation of electoral districts, reducing the number from 21 to 19.
This district relocation will be announced by the same County Council no later than December 31 of this year, as established by state law.
This situation requires that in 2022 all County Councilors have to apply to obtain one of the 19 districts that will be at stake.
