109 seatbelt citations during the recent Fourth of July ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ and ‘Click It or Ticket’ safety campaigns.

Waukegan, IL. -The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested two impaired drivers, made one drug arrest and issued 109 seatbelt citations during the recent Fourth of July ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ and ‘Click It or Ticket’ safety campaigns.
A total of 197 citations were issued during the campaign including the arrest of two fugitives.
Law-enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in this statewide effort to get drunk and drugged drivers off the roadways and encourage seatbelt use.
