Lake County, IL. – Driving home from Springfield and my car engine started making a weird noise. Then I was unable to accelerate. I exited and drove into the Lambs Farm parking lot as smoke started coming out of my hood. I didn’t know that there were already flames under my car.
A man followed me into the parking lot and yelled at me to get out of the car – then I saw the orange flames coming up on both sides out my windows. I unbuckled and jumped out leaving everything behind. We quickly got away from the car and called 911.
As we waited, the car became engulfed and one by one the tires exploded. I am thankful to the , the , and to Lenny and the other super nice folks from who were all so kind, as well as to “John” – the nice man who made sure I got out of the car and stayed with me until help was there and he knew I was okay.
