Lake County, IL. – El Sheriff John D. Idleburg se enorgullece en anunciar que la Unidad Canina de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake concluyó 2025 con un año marcado por numerosos despliegues y una dedicación constante a la seguridad pública. A lo largo del año, los equipos caninos se desplegaron 485 veces en apoyo de operaciones de patrullaje, investigaciones criminales y búsquedas especializadas, contribuyendo a 90 arrestos y a la localización exitosa de 35 personas, incluyendo personas desaparecidas en peligro y sospechosos de delitos. Diez equipos caninos prestaron servicio en la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake durante 2025, incluyendo al agente John Forlenza con el K9 Lux, al agente Andrew Martini con el K9 Danno, al agente Kevin Gauer con el K9 Axel, al agente Kevin Harris con el K9 Zeus, a la agente Roxanna Stancioiu con el K9 Drako, al agente Kevin Lowe con el K9 Loki, al agente Kevin Zerbe con el K9 Hemi, al agente Christopher Sinceno con el K9 Simba, a la agente Patricia List con el K9 Zack (detección de explosivos y armas de fuego) y al detective Alexis Sciarrone con el K9 Enzo (detección de dispositivos electrónicos). Su labor se reflejó no solo en el volumen de casos en los que participaron, sino también en su precisión, fiabilidad y sólida colaboración entre el adiestrador y el perro.
La Oficina del Sheriff también reconoció la jubilación del K9 Duke en 2025, quien trabajó junto al agente Dwight Arrowood. La trayectoria del K9 Duke se caracterizó por operaciones exitosas y un impacto positivo duradero en la comunidad.

K9 teams deliver strong results
Sheriff John D. Idleburg is proud to announce the Lake County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit concluded 2025 with a year marked by numerous deployments and continued dedication to public safety. Throughout the year, K9 teams were deployed 485 times in support of patrol operations, criminal investigations, and specialized searches, contributing to 90 arrests and the successful location of 35 individuals, including endangered missing persons and criminal suspects.
Ten K9 teams served with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office during 2025, including Deputy John Forlenza with K9 Lux, Deputy Andrew Martini with K9 Danno, Deputy Kevin Gauer with K9 Axel, Deputy Kevin Harris with K9 Zeus, Deputy Roxanna Stancioiu with K9 Drako, Deputy Kevin Lowe with K9 Loki, Deputy Kevin Zerbe with K9 Hemi, Deputy Christopher Sinceno with K9 Simba, Deputy Patricia List with K9 Zack (explosive/firearm detection), and Detective Alexis Sciarrone with K9 Enzo (electronics detection). Their work was reflected not only in the volume of cases they assisted with, but in their precision, reliability, and strong handler-canine partnerships.
The Sheriff’s Office also recognized the retirement of K9 Duke in 2025, who was partnered with Deputy Dwight Arrowood. K9 Duke’s career was marked by successful operations and a lasting positive impact on the community.
