Lake County, IL. – Dos hombres han sido acusados en relación con una ola de robos ocurridos en varias comunidades del condado de Lake a finales de noviembre y principios de diciembre. Los robos residenciales ocurrieron Lincolnshire y Highland Park.
El 4 de diciembre de 2025, los detectives arrestaron a Matthew Ristick, de 18 años, residente de la cuadra 6200 de Diversey Ave, Chicago, y a Kevin Miller, de 26 años, residente de la cuadra 6000 de Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights.
El 30 de noviembre de 2025, se robaron viviendas en las zonas no incorporadas de Libertyville, Gurnee y Lincolnshire. El 3 de diciembre de 2025, se robaron viviendas en Highland Park. Miembros del Departamento de Policía de Lincolnshire, el Departamento de Policía de Highland Park, la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake y el Grupo de Trabajo Regional Norte contra Delitos Graves (NORTAF) revisaron videos de vigilancia y otras pruebas, encontrando pistas que indicaban que Ristick y Miller eran responsables de los robos.
Tras la investigación, Miller y Ristick fueron detenidos el 4 de diciembre de 2025.
Tras revisar los hechos y circunstancias de los incidentes, la Fiscalía del Estado del Condado de Lake aprobó los siguientes cargos:

• Miller:
  1 cargo de robo residencial (delitos graves de clase 1)
  El NORTAF y los detectives de la zona continúan investigando, y es posible que se presenten cargos adicionales.
  Ristick y Miller comparecieron ante el tribunal esta mañana y se ordenó su detención a la espera de una audiencia de detención esta tarde.

Two burglary arrests
Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary spree that occurred across several Lake County communities in late November and early December. The residential burglaries took place in unincorporated Lake County, Lincolnshire, and Highland Park.
On December 4, 2025, detectives arrested Matthew Ristick, 18, of the 6200 block of Diversey Ave, Chicago, and Kevin Miller, 26, of the 6000 block of Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights.
On November 30, 2025, residences in unincorporated Libertyville, unincorporated Gurnee, and Lincolnshire were burglarized. On December 3, 2025, a residence in Highland Park was burglarized.
Members of the Lincolnshire Police Department, Highland Park Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) reviewed surveillance videos and other evidence, developing leads indicating Ristick and Miller were responsible for the burglaries.
Following the investigation, Miller and Ristick were taken into custody on December 4, 2025.
After reviewing the facts and circumstances of the incidents, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the following charges:

• Ristick:
  4 Counts of Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felonies)
• Miller:
  1 Count of Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felony)
  NORTAF and area detectives continue to investigate, and additional charges are possible.
  Ristick and Miller appeared in court this morning and were ordered detained pending a detention hearing this afternoon.
