Waukegan, IL. – El Distrito de Parques de Waukegan organiza la 26 Carrera Anual del Pavo el sábado 8 de noviembre de 2025 a las 10:00 h en el Parque Deportivo Greg Petry de Waukegan, ubicado en 3391 W. Beach Road. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de competir en carreras para ganar un pavo y, al mismo tiempo, colaborar con la comunidad en una colecta de alimentos enlatados que beneficiará al Banco de Alimentos COOL de Waukegan. Se recomienda la inscripción previa, pero no es obligatoria. El registro en el lugar comienza a las 9:00 h. La entrada para participar consiste en dos latas de alimentos no perecederos.

Turkey race is coming
The Waukegan Park District is hosting the 26th Annual Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10am at Waukegan’s Greg Petry SportsPark, located at 3391 W. Beach Road. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in races for a chance to win a turkey while helping the community with a canned food drive that will benefit the COOL Food Pantry in Waukegan. Preregistration is preferred but not required. On-site check-in begins at 9am. Admission to participate is two cans of non-perishable foods.
