Lake County, IL. – United Way del Condado de Lake está organizando una colecta de libros para celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana. Desde el 15 de septiembre hasta el 15 de octubre de 2023, los miembros de la comunidad y las empresas locales están invitados a participar y compartir la alegría de leer con los niños de las escuelas locales y ser parte de su aventura narrativa.
Los libros se donarán a bibliotecas de escuelas primarias y ayudarán a promover la conciencia cultural, celebrar la diversidad y honrar la cultura latina e hispana.
Este año, hay dos formas de donar: hacer una donación monetaria en línea o comprar libros de la lista de libros seleccionados y entregarlos. Las donaciones se pueden entregar antes del 15 de octubre en United Way of Lake County, 330 S. Greenleaf Street, Gurnee, de lunes a jueves, de 9:00 a. m. a 4:00 p. m. Hispanic Heritage Month book drive
United Way of Lake County is hosting a book drive in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Starting September 15 through October 15, 2023, community members and local businesses are invited to participate and share the joy of reading with local school children and be part of their storytelling adventure. Books will be donated to elementary school libraries and will help promote cultural awareness, celebrate diversity, and honor Latinx and Hispanic culture.
This year, there are two ways to give: make a monetary donation online or purchase books from the curated book list and drop them off. Donations may be dropped off by October 15 at United Way of Lake County, 330 S. Greenleaf Street, Gurnee, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
