Condado de Lake, IL. – El Departamento de Salud del Condado de Lake está anunciando que la prueba gratuita de la enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) llegará a Deerfield, Highwood, Libertyville y Round Lake durante el próximo mes. Una unidad de prueba móvil administrada por el Departamento de Salud Pública de Illinois estará estacionada en el condado de acuerdo con el siguiente cronograma:
“La semana pasada, el condado de Lake superó los 20,000 casos y, trágicamente, 500 muertes por COVID-19. Nuestros pensamientos están con todas las familias que luchan contra esta enfermedad o sufren la pérdida de un ser querido”, dijo Mark Pfister, Director Ejecutivo del Departamento de Salud del Condado de Lake. “Ayude a cuidar a su comunidad haciéndose la prueba de inmediato si tiene síntomas, o entre 5 y 7 días después de haber estado expuesto a una persona infectada y recuerde quedarse en casa mientras espera los resultados. La identificación de nuevos casos es el comienzo del proceso de rastreo de contactos que ayuda a retrasar la propagación de esta enfermedad”.

La prueba es gratuita y está abierta a todos, independientemente de los síntomas. Se requiere un número de teléfono y un nombre para recibir los resultados de las pruebas. La identificación con foto y el comprobante de seguro son útiles, pero no obligatorios. La alta demanda de pruebas puede resultar en largos tiempos de espera. Los lugares de prueba pueden cerrar temprano debido a las inclemencias del tiempo o si se agotan los suministros de prueba diarios.
Aquellos que utilicen la prueba drive-thru deben sentarse en una ventana que funcione. Una vez que se ponga en fila en el sitio, no se le permitirá salir de su automóvil. Todos los sitios también acomodarán personas sin cita previa. Las pruebas en la Biblioteca Pública de Highwood son solo sin cita previa. Solo se proporcionan pruebas virales en el sitio de prueba móvil.
Mobile COVID-19 Testing Offered in Lake County
The Lake County Health Department is announcing that free Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) testing is coming to Deerfield, Highwood, Libertyville, and Round Lake over the next month. A mobile testing unit managed by the Illinois Department of Public Health will be stationed in the county according to the following schedule:

“Last week, Lake County surpassed 20,000 cases and tragically, 500 deaths from COVID-19. Our thoughts are with every family battling this illness or grieving the loss of a loved one,” said Mark Pfister, Executive Director at the Lake County Health Department. “Help care for your community by getting tested right away if you are experiencing symptoms, or 5-7 days after being exposed to an infected person and remember to stay home while waiting for your results. Identifying new cases is the start of the contact tracing process that helps to slow the spread of this disease.”
Know Before You Go
Testing is free and open to all regardless of symptoms. A phone number and name are required in order to receive testing results. Photo identification and proof of insurance are helpful, but not required. High demand for testing may result in long wait times. Testing locations may close early due to inclement weather or if daily testing supplies are exhausted.
Those utilizing drive-thru testing must be seated at a functioning window. Once you get in line at the site, you will not be permitted to exit your car. All sites will also accommodate walk-up individuals. Testing at the Highwood Public Library is walk-up only. Only viral testing is provided at the mobile testing site.
