Robin O’Connor
Robin O’Connor ganó la primaria demócrata con casi el 70 por ciento de los votos. El candidato tiene una larga historia en administración educativa y participación cívica. O’Connor obtuvo su licenciatura en Educación en la Universidad de Illinois, su Maestría y Especialista en Educación Administrativa de Northern illinois University, y solo tiene que completar su disertación antes de obtener su doctorado.
Trabajó para Distritos Escolares por más de 30 años antes de jubilarse, y ahora enseña como profesora a tiempo parcial en la notable Universidad de Northwestern. La titular Carla Wyckoff se centra en la eficiencia y garantizar la seguridad de los resultados de la tabulación de votantes del Condado de Lake y los registros. Obtuvo su licenciatura en periodismo de la Universidad de Missouri, su maestría en administración de empresas de la Universidad Northwestern, y su título de abogada en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Loyola en Chicago.
Durante 19 años, la Secretaría trabajó con la Oficina del Fiscal del Estado del Condado de Lake, donde tuvo puestos en las divisiones de tráfico y delincuencia antes de representar a la oficina del Secretario durante 13 años.

Robin O’Connor won the Democratic primary with nearly 70 percent of the vote in the. The candidate has a long background in educational management and civic participation. O’Connor obtained her bachelor’s in Education from the University of Illinois, Master’s and Education Specialist in Administration Education from Northern Illinois University, and she just needs to complete her dissertation before achieving her doctorate. She worked for School Districts for over 30 years before retiring, and now she teaches as a part-time professor at the notable Northwestern University. During O’Connor’s time as a school administrator, she was able to expand a summer school program to all students in addition to increasing programming. She has been elected three times for the Libertyville Township Trustee position and organizes city fundraiser Libertyville Days. Among her commitments, the candidate strives to be fiscally responsible and transparent, to streamlines services, and to employ the most current technology for election cybersecurity. O’Connor emphasizes the importance of residents understanding how their taxes are spent, and she notes how her background in management would allow her to tackle the responsibilities of the Clerk’s office.

Carla Wyckoff
Incumbent Carla Wyckoff is focused on efficiency and ensuring the security of Lake county’s voter tabulation results and registration records. She obtained her bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Missouri, her master of business administration from Northwestern University, and her law degree from Loyola University of Chicago Law School. For 19 years, the Clerk worked with the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she served in the traffic and criminal divisions before representing the Clerk’s office for 13 years. The former Mayor of Lake Forest endorses the candidate praising her experience with the Clerk’s office and her outreach into different communities. “She knows the system, and she knows where the holes are.” Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor also supports Wyckoff because of her background in Law and her management skills. “She has the experience and integrity we need to administer free and fair elections here in Lake County.” Torrie Mark Newsome, former legal colleague, recommends the politician because of her expertise and her commitment to the community. “Knowledge of the law is certainly very important because one of the things that the Clerk has to do is follow the law, what it says and what it means.”
