Waukegan, IL. – Today the Lake County Board appointed Gary Gibson as Interim County Administrator, effective Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019.
Gibson, who retired from Lake County in 2017 after 23 years of service, most recently served as Manager of the Workforce Development Board, overseeing programs designed to ensure Lake County’s workforce has the necessary skills to meet the needs of its employers. During Gibson’s tenure, he also served as Assistant County Administrator for 11 years, and was the Interim County Administrator from 2001 to 2002.
