Waukegan, IL. – Habrá dos (2) puestos de comisionado del Distrito de Parques de Waukegan en la boleta electoral en abril de 2025. Estos son los puestos de seis años que actualmente ocupan el comisionado George Bridges, Jr. y el comisionado Jeremiah Johnson. Los titulares han anunciado su intención de postularse para la reelección a la junta del parque.
Los comisionados del parque cumplen un mandato de seis años sin remuneración. La presentación de la candidatura requiere recolectar firmas de votantes registrados dentro de los límites del distrito del parque en las peticiones de nominación, completar y presentar una declaración de interés económico y presentar una declaración de candidatura.
Los comisionados se reúnen el segundo martes del mes para la reunión de la Junta de Comisionados y el cuarto martes del mes para la reunión del Comité Plenario en el Centro Administrativo, y las reuniones comienzan a las 4:30 p. m.

Commissioner positions on the ballot
There will be two (2) Waukegan Park District commissioner positions on the ballot in April 2025. These are the six-year positions currently held by Commissioner George Bridges, Jr. and Commissioner Jeremiah Johnson. The incumbents have announced their intention to run for re-election to the park board.
Park Commissioners serve a term of six years without compensation. Filing for candidacy requires collecting signatures of registered voters within the park district boundaries on the nominating petitions, completing and filing a statement of economic interest, and filing a statement of candidacy.
The Commissioners meet the second Tuesday monthly for the Board of Commissioners meeting and the fourth Tuesday monthly for the Committee of the Whole meeting at the Administrative Center, with meetings beginning at 4:30pm.
Candidates seeking election as a Waukegan Park District Park Commissioner can receive additional information or the election packet of nomination papers by emailing sally@waukeganparks.org beginning Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 9am and may begin circulating the petitions immediately. The candidates will file their packets at the Administrative Center, 1324 Golf Road, Waukegan, Illinois 60087, from Tuesday, November 12, 2024 beginning at 9am when they open until Monday, November 18, 2024 prior to their 5pm closing time.
