Grayslake, IL. – Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested two teens who possessed firearms, and one recklessly fired into homes during the overnight hours.
On November 1, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 911 calls in the 18400 block of West Meander Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, for a report of shots fired. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found bullet holes in a vehicle and two nearby homes.
Sheriff’s deputies located Jabreon Bell, 19, of the same residence, and his friend, Sir Mark Hill, 18, of unincorporated Grayslake, in the area. Bell and Hill initially claimed they had been shot at by occupants of a vehicle that drove by. Sheriff’s deputies located video surveillance in the area and determined both Bell and Hill were armed with firearms. The video showed Hill firing several rounds toward the southeast of his location.
Bell and Hill were taken into custody and sheriff’s detectives responded to the scene. Sheriff’s detectives conducted a search of Bell’s home, where they recovered two loaded pistols, one of which had an extended magazine. Nobody was injured in the shooting.
