Gurnee – El Departamento de Policía de Gurnee investiga un tiroteo ocurrido frente a un hotel cerca de Grand Avenue y la I-94. El incidente, ocurrido la noche del 27 de noviembre, se determinó como una disputa doméstica intencional que se originó en otra comunidad antes de que los individuos se detuvieran brevemente en Gurnee.
El 28 de noviembre de 2025, aproximadamente a las 11:53 a.m., la Policía de Gurnee fue notificada de posibles indicios de un tiroteo en la entrada del hotel. Los agentes acudieron al área donde los técnicos en evidencia localizaron y recogieron evidencia física.
Una revisión de las imágenes de vigilancia reveló que una camioneta oscura llegó a la entrada del hotel aproximadamente a las 9:44 p.m. Un hombre salió del lado del pasajero y fue seguido por una mujer que portaba una pistola. El video parece mostrar a la mujer disparando varias balas, impactando al hombre una vez en la pierna. El hombre regresó al vehículo con la mujer. Posteriormente, ambos abandonaron el área.
Durante la investigación, los detectives de Gurnee fueron notificados de que una víctima de un disparo había llegado a un hospital cercano. Los investigadores acudieron y localizaron al hombre y a la mujer involucrados. La mujer fue trasladada al Departamento de Policía de Gurnee, donde posteriormente confesó su participación en el incidente.
Mediante entrevistas e investigaciones adicionales, los detectives determinaron que el tiroteo se originó a raíz de una disputa doméstica que comenzó en un pueblo vecino. La pareja se detuvo en el hotel durante la discusión, donde ocurrió el tiroteo. Posteriormente, se dirigieron al hospital para recibir tratamiento médico por la herida de bala.
El caso fue revisado por la Fiscalía del Estado del Condado de Lake, y se aprobaron los siguientes cargos para Angela M. Mack, una mujer de 40 años de Sun Prairie, Wisconsin:

• Agresión con Agravantes con Arma de Fuego (Delito Grave de Clase X)
• Disparo con Agravantes con Arma de Fuego (Delito Grave de Clase 1)
• Disparo Imprudente con Arma de Fuego (Delito Grave de Clase 4)

The Gurnee Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred outside a hotel near Grand Avenue and I-94. The incident, which took place on the evening of November 27, was determined to be a targeted, domestic-related dispute that originated in another community before the individuals briefly stopped in Gurnee.
On November 28, 2025, at approximately 11:53 AM, Gurnee Police were notified of possible evidence of a shooting in the hotel’s driveway. Officers responded to the area where evidence technicians located and collected physical evidence.
A review of surveillance footage revealed a dark-colored van arriving at the hotel entrance at approximately 9:44 PM. A male exited the passenger side and was followed by a female who was holding a handgun. The video appears to show the female discharging multiple rounds, striking the male once in the leg. The male returned to the vehicle with the female. The pair then left the area.
During the investigation, Gurnee detectives were notified that a gunshot victim had arrived at a nearby hospital. Investigators responded and located the involved male and female. The female was transported to the Gurnee Police Department, where she later confessed to her role in the incident.
Through interviews and additional investigation, detectives determined that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing domestic dispute that began in a neighboring town. The couple stopped at the hotel during the argument, where the shooting occurred. They then drove to the hospital to seek medical treatment for the gunshot wound.
The case was reviewed with the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the following charges were approved for Angela M Mack, a 40-year-old female of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin:

• Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X Felony)
• Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm (Class 1 Felony)
• Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony)

This was an isolated incident between two individuals who are known to each other. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
