Beach Park, IL. – Agentes del sheriff del condado de Lake respondieron a Sheridan Road y West Howard Street, Beach Park, por un accidente de tránsito con heridos. Los agentes del alguacil llegaron y encontraron dos vehículos con graves daños en hechos registrados el pasado 10 de octubre aproximadamente a la 1:15 p. m.
La investigación preliminar muestra que un Toyota Prius, conducido por un hombre adulto (identificación pendiente), estaba girando a la izquierda desde Howard Street hacia Sheridan Road en dirección norte. Al mismo tiempo, un Infiniti M35, conducido por un hombre de Waukegan de 32 años, viajaba hacia el sur por Sheridan Road, en la misma área. Ambos vehículos chocaron en la intersección.
El conductor del Toyota tuvo que ser sacado del vehículo y posteriormente transportado al Centro Médico Vista East en Waukegan, donde fue declarado muerto. El conductor del Infiniti también fue transportado al Centro Médico Vista East con lesiones graves, pero que no ponen en peligro su vida.
Algunos testigos informaron que el Infiniti viajaba a gran velocidad y de manera imprudente antes del accidente.
El equipo de investigación técnica de accidentes de la oficina del alguacil del condado de Lake está investigando el accidente y trabajarán para determinar la velocidad del Infiniti.
Beach Park fatal traffic crash
On October 10, 2022, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Sheridan Road and West Howard Street, Beach Park, for a traffic crash with injuries. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found two vehicles with heavy damage.
Preliminary investigation shows a Toyota Prius, driven by an adult male (identification pending), was making a left turn from Howard Street onto northbound Sheridan Road. At the same time an Infiniti M35, driven by a 32-year-old man of Waukegan, was traveling southbound on Sheridan Road, in the same area. Both vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Toyota had to be extricated from the vehicle and was subsequently transported to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Infiniti was also transported to Vista East Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Some witnesses reported the Infiniti was traveling at a high rate of speed and recklessly prior to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigation Team, and they will be working to determine the speed of the Infiniti.
