Una persona pierde la vida y una más resulta con graves lesiones en accidente de autos registrado el pasado 25 de septiembre de 2020, aproximadamente a las 4:45 p.m., en Green Oaks, informó la oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake.
Los agentes del alguacil del condado de Lake fueron enviados a la ruta 137 e I-94, Green Oaks, por un accidente de tráfico con lesiones. Los agentes del alguacil llegaron y determinaron que dos autos y una motocicleta estaban involucrados en el accidente.
La investigación preliminar muestra que un Chevrolet Sonic 2019, conducido por un hombre de 76 años de Fox Lake, viajaba hacia el este por la Ruta 137. El conductor del Chevrolet intentó dar vuelta en U o intentó girar a la izquierda en la I-94.
Un Ford Five Hundred 2007, conducido por una mujer de Libertyville de 63 años, viajaba hacia el oeste por la Ruta 137 en el mismo lugar. La parte delantera del Ford golpeó el lado del pasajero del Chevrolet. Una motocicleta Harley-Davidson 2013, conducida por un hombre de 32 años de Wauconda, estaba directamente detrás de la Ford. Para evitar un impacto con un vehículo, el conductor de la motocicleta dejó caer su motocicleta y se deslizó por el suelo.
Un pasajero del asiento delantero en el Chevrolet, una mujer de 74 años de Fox Lake, sufrió heridas graves y fue declarada muerta en el lugar. Fatal Green Oaks Traffic Crash
One person loses their life and one more is seriously injured in a car accident recorded on September 25, 2020, at approximately 4:45 p.m., in Green Oaks, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Route 137 and I-94, Green Oaks, for a traffic crash with injuries. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and determined two cars and one motorcycle were involved in the crash.
Preliminary investigation shows a 2019 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by a 76-year-old male of Fox Lake, was traveling eastbound on Route 137. The driver of the Chevrolet attempted a U-turn or attempted to turn left onto I-94.
A 2007 Ford Five Hundred, driven by a 63-year-old female of Libertyville, was traveling westbound on Route 137 at the same location. The front of the Ford struck the passenger side of the Chevrolet. A 2013 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, driven by a 32-year-old male of Wauconda was directly behind the Ford. To avoid an impact with a vehicle, the motorcycle operator dropped his motorcycle and slid on the ground.
A front-seat passenger in the Chevrolet, a 74-year-old female of Fox Lake, sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with critical injuries. The driver of the Ford was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries. The driver of the Harley-Davidson was treated and released at the scene with minor injuries.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and is in the process of scheduling an autopsy.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
