North Chicago, IL. -El 2 de mayo de 2022, aproximadamente a la 1:25 p. m., los oficiales de policía de North Chicago recibieron un informe de disparos en la cuadra 1000 de Jackson Street. Los oficiales de policía de North Chicago llegaron y localizaron a una víctima, un hombre de 49 años de la cuadra 1000 de Jackson Street, gravemente herido. El hombre fue transportado a un hospital del área donde sucumbió a sus heridas y fue declarado muerto poco después de llegar al hospital.
La investigación preliminar muestra que la víctima estaba cortando el césped cuando un vehículo pasó por Jackson Street. Un ocupante del vehículo comenzó a dispararle al hombre y el vehículo huyó del área. Parece que la víctima fue atacada específicamente.
Debido a la naturaleza del incidente, el Departamento de Policía de North Chicago solicitó la asistencia de la Fuerza Especial contra Delitos Mayores del Condado de Lake. Victim was mowing his lawn
On May 2, 2022, at approximately 1:25 p.m., North Chicago Police Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Jackson Street. North Chicago Police Officers arrived and located a victim, a 49-year-old man of the 1000 block of Jackson Street, critically injured. The man was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Preliminary investigation shows the victim was mowing his lawn when a vehicle drove by on Jackson Street. An occupant of the vehicle started shooting at the man and the vehicle fled from the area. It appears the victim was specifically targeted.
Due to the nature of the incident, the North Chicago Police Department requested the assistance of the Lake County Major Crime Task Force. North Chicago Police Detectives and Task Force Investigators are actively investigating the homicide.
