Lake County, IL. – Seis arrestados por conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol o las drogas y 101 infracciones por exceso de velocidad, conducir distraídos y otras infracciones, incluyendo 30 citaciones por no usar el cinturón de seguridad fue el saldo que arrojó la campaña de vialidad por la festividad de San Patricio, informó el Sheriff del Condado de Lake, John Idleburg.
“Incluso con todas las advertencias, todavía vemos personas que toman las carreteras intoxicados. Mientras esta campaña termine, los ayudantes del sheriff seguirán teniendo tolerancia cero con aquellos que arriesgan la vida de otros mientras conducen bajo los efectos del alcohol”, dijo John D. Idleburg.
La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake unió fuerzas con socios de seguridad vial y las fuerzas del orden público estatales y locales en la campaña de aplicación del Día de San Patricio.
El esfuerzo de seguridad vial fue financiado con fondos federales de seguridad vial administrados por el Departamento de Transporte de Illinois como parte de las campañas estatales “Conduzca sobrio o Será Arrestado” y “Haga clic o multa”.

“Even with all of the warnings, we still see people take to the roadways under the influence. While this campaign is over, our sheriff’s deputies will still have zero tolerance for those who risk the lives of others while driving impaired,” said Sheriff John D. Idleburg.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with highway safety partners and both state and local law enforcement in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.
The traffic safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
