Beach Park, IL. – Agentes del sheriff del condado de Lake detuvieron a varios delincuentes que cometían un allanamiento de domicilio en Beach Park. El 1 de marzo de 2024, aproximadamente a las 9:00 a.m., los agentes acudieron a una casa prefabricada en la cuadra 38700 de North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, para ayudar a una persona a recuperar su propiedad de la residencia.
Los agentes del sheriff llegaron y se enteraron de que la persona que llamaba, Melinda Uribe, de 30 años, sin dirección permanente, se quedaba ocasionalmente en la residencia. Estaba molesta porque estaba allí para recuperar sus pertenencias del interior, pero la persona que vive en la residencia no le abrió la puerta para permitirle recoger sus cosas.
Los agentes del sheriff llamaron a la puerta, pero nadie respondió, por lo que sugirieron que Uribe regresara más tarde con una escolta de los ayudantes del sheriff para recuperar la propiedad. Uribe abandonó la zona.
Aproximadamente a las 10:00 a. m., un ayudante del sheriff estaba en el mismo vecindario completando trámites en su patrulla. Observó a Uribe regresar a la residencia en un vehículo. Uribe y un hombre, posteriormente identificado como Robert M. Carr, de 41 años, de la cuadra 400 de Hawley Street, Mundelein, salieron rápidamente del auto y forzaron la entrada a la puerta principal de la residencia. Una tercera persona, posteriormente identificada como Keith T. Daniels, de 43 años, de la cuadra 400 de Hawley Street, Mundelein, entró a la residencia poco después de que Uribe y Carr entraran. Uribe y Carr atacaron y golpearon a la víctima, un hombre de 29 años, que vivía en la residencia.
El ayudante del sheriff, junto con varios otros agentes que respondieron, entraron y rápidamente detuvieron a los tres delincuentes. La víctima no quiso buscar tratamiento médico en ese momento. Los tres delincuentes fueron transportados a la División de Investigaciones Criminales de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake.
Después de revisar los hechos y circunstancias del caso, la Oficina del Fiscal Estatal del Condado de Lake aprobó los cargos de invasión de vivienda (delito grave de clase X) y robo residencial (delito grave de clase 1) contra Uribe y Carr. Daniels fue acusado de allanamiento de morada (delito grave de clase 4).
Los tres permanecen detenidos a la espera del Tribunal de Primera Comparecencia de esta mañana.
Todos los acusados se presumen inocentes a menos que se demuestre su culpabilidad en un tribunal de justicia.

Trio arrested during home invasion
Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended several offenders committing a home invasion in Beach Park yesterday.
On March 1, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a manufactured home in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, to assist a person retrieve her property from the residence.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and learned the caller, Melinda Uribe, 30, no permanent address, occasionally stayed at the residence. She was upset because she was there to retrieve belongings from inside but the person who lives in the residence would not open the door to allow her to gather her property. Sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door, however, nobody answered. Sheriff’s deputies suggested Uribe return at a later time with an escort from sheriff’s deputies to retrieve the property. Uribe left the area.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy was in the same neighborhood completing paperwork in his squad car. He observed Uribe return to the residence in a vehicle. Uribe and a man, later identified as Robert M. Carr, 41, of the 400 block of Hawley Street, Mundelein, quickly exited the car and forced entry to the front door of the residence. A third person, later identified as Keith T. Daniels, 43, of the 400 block of Hawley Street, Mundelein, entered the residence shortly after Uribe and Carr went inside. Uribe and Carr attacked and battered the victim, a 29-year-old man, who lived at the residence.
The sheriff’s deputy, along with several other responding deputies, made entry and quickly apprehended the three offenders. The victim did not wish to seek medical treatment at the time. The three offenders were transported to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
After reviewing the facts and circumstances of the case, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges of Home Invasion (Class X Felony) and Residential Burglary (Class 1 Felony) against Uribe and Carr. Daniels was charged with Criminal Trespass to Residence (Class 4 Felony).
All three remain held pending First Appearance Court this morning. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
