Lake Villa, Il. – Detectives de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake arrestaron a un hombre residente de una zona no incorporada de Lake Villa por poseer docenas de imágenes y videos de material de abuso sexual infantil (CSAM, por sus siglas en inglés).
Detectives de la unidad de delitos cibernéticos de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Lake iniciaron una investigación tras tener conocimiento de que se estaba compartiendo pornografía infantil desde un dispositivo electrónico ubicado en una zona no incorporada de Lake Villa. Los detectives determinaron que el dispositivo se encontraba en una vivienda situada en la cuadra 39100 de North Rustic Drive, en dicha zona no incorporada de Lake Villa.
Durante la investigación, los detectives obtuvieron una orden de registro para la residencia. Acompañados por Enzo, un perro entrenado para detectar dispositivos electrónicos, registraron la vivienda en busca de equipos que almacenaran material de abuso sexual infantil.
Los detectives incautaron un teléfono celular perteneciente a Christian J. Phillips, de 33 años y residente en el mismo domicilio, el cual contenía docenas de imágenes y videos de material de abuso sexual infantil de naturaleza violenta.
El 20 de julio de 2026, la Fiscalía del Condado de Lake aprobó siete cargos por posesión de material de abuso sexual infantil (delitos graves de Clase 2), y Phillips fue arrestado por los detectives de la Oficina del Sheriff.

Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested an unincorporated Lake Villa man for possessing dozens of images and videos of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Lake County Sheriff’s Cybercrime Detectives initiated an investigation after they became aware child pornography was being shared from an electronic device in unincorporated Lake Villa. Detectives learned the device was located at a home in the 39100 block of North Rustic Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa.
During their investigation, sheriff’s detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence. Sheriff’s detectives, along with Electronic Detection Canine Enzo, searched for electronics that were storing CSAM.
Sheriff’s detectives seized a cellular phone belonging to Christian J. Phillips, 33, of the same address, which contained dozens of images and videos of violent CSAM.
On July 20, 2026, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office approved seven counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Class 2 Felonies) and Phillips was arrested by sheriff’s detectives.
