Gurnee, IL. – El 22 de agosto de 2024, aproximadamente a las 8:30 a.m., la policía de Gurnee respondió a un accidente de motocicleta cerca de Grand Avenue y Rollins Road. La motocicleta viajaba hacia el oeste por Grand Avenue a gran velocidad cuando el conductor perdió el control y se estrelló cerca de la intersección.
El conductor de la motocicleta, Wayne Milkulski, un hombre de 44 años, sufrió heridas graves en la cabeza y fue trasladado de inmediato al Advocate Condell Medical Center. Los oficiales luego se enteraron de que Milkulski tenía una orden de arresto activa. Después de ser dado de alta del hospital, fue trasladado a la cárcel del condado de Lake.

Motorcyclists collide and are arrested
On August 22, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM, Gurnee Police responded to a motorcycle accident near Grand Avenue and Rollins Road. The motorcycle was traveling westbound on Grand Avenue at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and crashed near the intersection.
The motorcycle’s driver, Wayne Milkulski, a 44-year-old male, sustained serious head injuries and was immediately transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center. Officers later learned Milkulski had an active warrant. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the Lake County Jail.
The passenger on the motorcycle, Kristin Teeter, a 34-year-old female, suffered scrapes and injuries to her legs and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Teeter also had an active warrant and was taken to the Lake County Jail after being released from the hospital.
The Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) assisted with the investigation and closed westbound Grand Avenue for several hours.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the driver had a modified firearm, possible narcotics, and multiple fraudulent ID cards. These items were seized as evidence, and additional charges may be forthcoming pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Gurnee Police Department continues to investigate the incident, focusing on both the circumstances of the crash and the illegal items found in the driver’s possession.
