Background
Workers’ rights to control their biometric privacy vanished into thin air for many years at Unilever supplier, Visual Pak, in Waukegan. Aggrieved workers will stage a protest against their former employer for requiring them to use their fingerprints to punch in and out without their consent. Workers allege that Visual Pak illegally coerced them to use their personal data in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
