Waukegan, IL. – El Distrito de Parques de Waukegan será la sede del 28 Sendero Anual Eggstravaganza el sábado 4 de abril de 2026, de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m., en el Parque Corrine J. Rose, ubicado en el 412 de S. Lewis Avenue. Los niños de dos (2) a trece (13) años tendrán la oportunidad de recorrer el sendero del conejito y recolectar huevos llenos de dulces, cortesía del Conejo de Pascua y sus amigos, hasta agotar existencias.
Habrá entretenimiento gratuito disponible de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m., que incluirá paseos en poni, un zoológico interactivo, estaciones prácticas para hacer burbujas y artistas de globos. El sendero del conejito estará abierto de 10:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m.
El Distrito de Parques de Waukegan organizó el primer Sendero Eggstravaganza en 1996 en el antiguo Parque Belvidere, ahora llamado Parque Corrine J. Rose. Este año, se distribuirán aproximadamente 16,500 huevos llenos de dulces entre los niños. Los huevos fueron llenados por voluntarios de Culver’s, Matthias Academy y los Servicios de Recreación Especial del Norte del Condado de Lake.
El 28 Sendero Anual Eggstravaganza se lleva a cabo como parte de la iniciativa comunitaria GO WAUKEGAN. En colaboración con el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Lake, el Distrito de Parques de Waukegan lanzó esta iniciativa comunitaria para mejorar la salud y el bienestar de los residentes locales, enriqueciendo y aumentando la experiencia compartida de caminar a través de actividades, educación y colaboración.

28th Annual Eggstravaganza Trail
The Waukegan Park District is hosting the 28th Annual Eggstravaganza Trail on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 9am to 11am at Corrine J. Rose Park, located at 412 S. Lewis Avenue. Children from two (2) to thirteen (13) years will have the opportunity to hop along the bunny trail and collect candy-filled eggs from the Easter Bunny and friends, while supplies last.
Free entertainment, including pony rides, a petting zoo, hands-on bubble stations, and balloon artists, will be available from 9am to 11am. The bunny trail will be open from 10am to 11am.
The Waukegan Park District hosted the first Eggstravaganza Trail in 1996 at the former Belvidere Park, now named Corrine J. Rose Park. This year, approximately 16,500 eggs filled with candy will be distributed to children. The eggs were filled by volunteers from Culver’s, Matthias Academy, and Special Recreation Services of Northern Lake County.
The 28th Annual Eggstravaganza Trail is hosted as part of the GO WAUKEGAN community initiative. In collaboration with the Lake County Health Department, the Waukegan Park District launched the community initiative to improve the health and wellness of local residents by enhancing and increasing the shared experience of walking through activities, education, and collaboration.
