Springfield, IL. – The Driver Services Facility Appointment System allows you to schedule your visit in advance up to 10 business days at select Secretary of State facilities for Illinois driver’s license and state ID card services. You cannot schedule an appointment for vehicle transactions.
Why visit a facility when you can do these services online? The services below are available online.

If you are renewing your driver’s license or have an instruction permit, use the link below to check what type of exams you are required to complete. Commercial Driver License road-tests (semi-trucks, busses, delivery vehicles) are only available at select Commercial Driver License (CDL) facilities. Current CDL holders must schedule commercial vehicle road tests through the Fast Pass semi-truck, bus, and delivery vehicle scheduling system.
Commercial Driver License holders not requiring a commercial road test (behind the wheel), or others simply needing road-test, Driver License or Identification Card services, please use the appointment button below. Seniors, pregnant women and those with disabilities are always welcome as walk-ins. Vehicle registration services (license plates, titles) do not offer appointments.
All 16 facilities will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
