Round Lake, IL. – La División de Transporte del Condado de Lake (LCDOT, por sus siglas en inglés) está organizando una audiencia pública para el plan de mejora propuesto para Cedar Lake Road entre Nippersink Road y Hart Road en Village of Round Lake.
El propósito de la reunión es presentar la alternativa preferida, los resultados de los estudios ambientales y recopilar opiniones del público. La mejora alternativa preferida consiste en realinear Cedar Lake Road hacia el oeste con un nuevo cruce a nivel con el ferrocarril. También se proponen mejoras en el sitio de la estación North Round Lake del distrito de Milwaukee de Metra, un nuevo sendero para bicicletas y aceras.

Realigning Cedar Lake
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is hosting a public hearing for the proposed improvement plan for Cedar Lake Road between Nippersink Road and Hart Road in the Village of Round Lake.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the preferred alternative, findings of the environmental studies, and collect public input. The preferred alternative improvement consists of realigning Cedar Lake Road to the west with a new at-grade crossing with the railroad. Improvements to Metra’s Milwaukee District North Round Lake station site, a new bike path and sidewalks are being proposed as well.
Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2022
Time: 5 – 7 p.m.
Place: Magee Middle School, 500 N. Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake
The meeting will consist of a presentation starting at 5:15 p.m. followed by an opportunity for the public to provide a two-minute statement to a court reporter regarding the project. After the opportunity for public comment, the project team will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
This meeting will be accessible to individuals with disabilities. Anyone needing special assistance should contact Chuck Gleason, LCDOT Phase I Project Manager at 847-377-7447 at least five days prior to the meeting.
