Waukegan, IL. – Jura Sam Cunningham, nuevamente, como Alcalde de la Ciudad de Waukegan al vencer en las pasadas elecciones de abril a quien fuera alcaldesa de esta ciudad, Ann Taylor.
Ante un lleno total en la sala de cabildo, la noche del lunes 5 de mayo, Cunningham toma el sitio central de este recinto para asumir responsabilidades en la administración municipal 2025 por cuatro años. Al mismo tiempo, Janet Kilkelly y John Shwab se reeligieron como Secretario y Tesorero de este municipio.
En su página de Facebook, la Ciudad de Waukegan expresó lo siguiente: “Esta tarde, la Ciudad de Waukegan agradeció a la Alcaldesa de Waukegan, Ann Taylor, por sus cuatro años de servicio a la comunidad.
El Ayuntamiento se llenó por completo, con las Salas del Concejo Municipal, el vestíbulo del primer piso y el vestíbulo del segundo piso abarrotados para la reunión del Concejo Municipal, que incluyó la juramentación del Alcalde Sam Cunningham, la Secretaria Municipal Janet Kilkelly y el Tesorero Municipal Dr. John Schwab.
El Concejo Municipal de Waukegan también nombró a Ottosen DiNolfo Hasenbalg & Castaldo, Ltd. como Asesor Jurídico Corporativo y a Steven G. Lenzi como Comisionado de Construcción. Felicitamos a todos los que se han ganado estos cargos y esperamos trabajar juntos al servicio de los residentes de Waukegan”.

Cunningham sworn in as Mayor of Waukegan
Sam Cunningham is sworn in again as Mayor of the City of Waukegan, defeating former Mayor Ann Taylor in the April elections.
Before a packed City Hall on Monday night, May 5, Cunningham took center stage to assume responsibilities for the 2025 municipal administration for four years.
At the same time, Janet Kilkelly and John Shwab were reelected as City Clerk and Treasurer.
On its Facebook page, the City of Waukegan stated the following:
“This evening, the City of Waukegan thanked Waukegan Mayor Ann Taylor for her four years of service to the community.
The City Hall was filled wall to wall, with the City Council Chambers, first-floor lobby, and second-floor lobby all packed for the City Council meeting, which included the swearing in of Mayor Sam Cunningham, City Clerk Janet Kilkelly and City Treasurer Dr. John Schwab.
The Waukegan City Council also appointed Ottosen DiNolfo Hasenbalg & Castaldo, Ltd. as Corporation Counsel and Steven G. Lenzi as Building Commissioner.
We congratulate all who have earned these roles and look forward to working together in service to the residents of Waukegan”.
