Celebra el municipio la temporada decembrina con el Festival de Iluminación del Árbol de Invierno el sábado 6 de diciembre de 2025, de 3 a 6 pm en Courtland Commons ,444 East Courtland Street, Mundelein, 60060.
En colaboración con Mundelein Community Connection, el Distrito de Parques y Recreación de Mundelein y la Villa de Mundelein, el evento festivo promete diversión para todas las edades, incluyendo actuaciones musicales en vivo, paseos en tren para niños, demostraciones y exhibiciones de esculturas de hielo, la Cabaña de Santa Claus, el Mercado Kris Kringle, artesanías, puestos de comida y mucho más.
La noche concluirá con una emocionante cuenta regresiva para la Iluminación del Árbol. No olvides que Santa Claus estará allí, así que trae tu lista de deseos y tu cámara. Reciclaje de luces navideñas
El Departamento de Obras Públicas e Ingeniería de Mundelein y Elgin Recycling organizan el programa anual de reciclaje de luces navideñas. Cualquier persona interesada en reciclar sus luces navideñas usadas puede traerlas a uno de los siguientes lugares entre las 8:30 a.m. a 3:30 p.m., de lunes a viernes, desde ahora hasta el 31 de enero de 2026.

Ayuntamiento, 300 Plaza Circle.
Instalaciones de Obras Públicas e Ingeniería, 801 Allanson Road.
Estación de Bomberos de Mundelein 1, 1000 North Midlothian Road.
Departamento de Policía de Mundelein, 221 North Lake Street (planta baja).
Solo se recogerán las guirnaldas de luces; No es necesario retirar las bombillas de las hileras, pero sí de las cajas o plásticos.
Nota: No se aceptan adornos de jardín, otras decoraciones navideñas ni hileras de luces conectadas a coronas, guirnaldas u otros materiales. Los residentes que dejen luces en el Ayuntamiento tienen un límite de dos hileras de 7,6 metros o su equivalente.

Winter Tree Lighting Festival
Celebrate the season with us at our Winter Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Courtland Commons (444 East Courtland Street, Mundelein, 60060). In partnership with Mundelein Community Connection (MCC), the Mundelein Park & Recreation District, and the Village of Mundelein, our festive event promises fun for all ages, including live musical performances, train rides for kids, ice carving demonstration and displays, Santa’s Cottage, Kris Kringle Market, crafts, food vendors and so much more! The evening will conclude with a thrilling countdown to our Tree Lighting. Don’t forget that Santa will be there so bring your wish lists and cameras. Holiday lights recycling
Mundelein Public Works and Engineering and Elgin Recycling is hosting the annual holiday lights recycling program. Anyone interested in recycling their used holiday lights can bring their items to one of the following locations between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday from now through January 31, 2026.
Locations:
Village Hall, 300 Plaza Circle.
Public Works and Engineering Facility, 801 Allanson Road.
Mundelein Fire Station #1, 1000 North Midlothian Road.
Mundelein Police Department, 221 North Lake Street (lower level).
Only the light strands themselves will be taken; bulbs do not have to be removed from the strands but should be removed from boxes and/ or plastic. Please Note: Lawn ornaments, other holiday decorations, or light strands connected to wreaths, garlands, or other material cannot be accepted. Residents dropping lights off at the Village Hall are limited to two 25-foot strands or equivalent length.
