Waukegan, IL. – La 25 Edición Anual del Clavado del Oso Polar en la playa municipal de esta ciudad rompió con todas las expectativas al reunir a cientos de bañistas que no les importó la gélida temperatura del agua del lago Michigan con tal de ayudar a la causa, aportar dinero a Servicios Especiales de Recreación del condado de Northern Lake, que en este año pudo recaudar 18 mil 500 dólares.
Autoridades municipales, encabezadas por la alcaldesa Ann Taylor; el Distrito de Parques de Waukegan y numerosos patrocinadores se dieron cita para apoyar a los clavadistas que soportaron el aire congelante y el frío chapuzón, y se llevaron a cambio, la satisfacción de haber ayudado.

Polar diving exceeds expectations
The 25th Annual Polar Bear Dive at the municipal beach of this city broke all expectations by bringing together hundreds of bathers who did not mind the freezing temperature of the water of Lake Michigan in order to help the cause, contribute money to Special Recreation Services of Northern Lake County, which this year was able to raise $18,500.
