Waukegan, IL. – Beacon Place is pleased to announce that it will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and a reception for the grand opening of the new Beacon Place Learning Center on June 26 at 4 p.m. at 603 South McAlister Avenue in Waukegan, IL.
“We are thrilled with the opening of the Beacon Place Learning Center and see it as a gift from so many generous people to the families of this community. It stands as a symbol of our mission and shows that with the guidance and support of others, you can achieve any goal that you set for yourself. We are thankful and excited to share this accomplishment with the community and all of those that made it a reality,” says Barbara LaFasto, Executive Director.
The new 3600 square foot learning center, which will double the space and the amount of services that Beacon Place can provide, was only made possible by the generosity of the Lake County building trades community. Over 75% of the $400,000 costs associated with this construction project were donated by these tradesmen as over 32 organizations got behind our mission and contributed to this project.
Additionally, the event will be supported by local Waukegan dignitaries and the Office of the Mayor.
