Waukegan, IL.- De conformidad con el Código Escolar de Illinois, sección 105, ILCS 5 / 10-10, la Junta de Educación del Distrito Escolar de la Unidad de la Comunidad de Waukegan # 60 por la presente notifica que la solicitud para personas que desean ser consideradas para ser nombradas por la Junta para llenar la vacante creada por La renuncia del miembro de la Junta Escolar y el Vicepresidente, Sr. Michael Rodríguez, el 14 de enero de 2020, puede ser asegurada desde la oficina de la Junta de Educación en Lincoln Center, 1201 N. Sheridan Road. La persona seleccionada servirá hasta la próxima elección escolar regular programada para el 6 de abril de 2021, momento en el cual se elegirá a un candidato para completar un período de cuatro años.
Requisitos
a) ser ciudadano de los Estados Unidos;
b) ser mayor de 18 años;
c) ser residente del Estado de Illinois y del Distrito Escolar # 60 de la Unidad Comunitaria de Waukegan durante al menos un año; y
d) ser un votante registrado, según lo dispuesto por la ley general de elecciones.
La solicitud completa debe dirigirse al Presidente de la Junta, el Sr. Brandon Ewing, en la Oficina del Superintendente de las Escuelas Públicas de Waukegan, 1201 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, y debe recibirse en esa oficina a más tardar a las 4:00 p.m. el jueves 30 de enero, o con sello postal a más tardar el martes 28 de enero. La Junta notificará al solicitante sobre el procedimiento a seguir para la entrevista.
Michael Rodríguez Resigns from School Board
In conformity with Illinois School Code section 105 ILCS 5/10-10, the Board of Education of Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 hereby gives notice that the application for persons desiring to be considered for appointment by the Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of School Board Member and Vice President, Mr. Michael Rodriguez on January 14, 2020, may be secured from the Board of Education office at Lincoln Center, 1201 N. Sheridan Road. The person selected will serve until the next regular school election scheduled for April 6, 2021, at which time a candidate will be elected to fill a four-year term.
Qualifications:
A candidate for the position must:
a) be a citizen of the United States;
b) be of the age of 18 years or over;
c) be a resident of the State of Illinois and of the Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 for at least one year; and
d) shall be a registered voter, as provided by the general election law.
The completed application must be addressed to Board President Mr. Brandon Ewing at the Office of the Superintendent of Waukegan Public Schools, 1201 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, and must be received in that office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, or postmarked no later than Tuesday, January 28. The Board will notify the applicant of the procedure to be followed for interview.
