Gurnee, IL. – Woodland Wildcats celebrated good behavior at the wildly popular Glow Night! The Primary School hosted a P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Family Night with a glow-in-the-dark theme to give students the chance to shine bright for all their hard work. Primary’s “Light Up the Night and Do What’s Right” event was open to all Primary students and their families. Families were able to walk around the school and participate in activities that focused on making positive choices and building meaningful relationships at school. Students were able to practice collaborative skills such as taking turns with friends and siblings. There was glow bowling, glow golfing, glow-in-the-dark face painting, music and prizes.
Principal Stacey Anderson explained, “The highlight of the event is seeing our students interacting with their families. The kids are excited to show their parents all the neat stuff they get to do at school, and there are plenty of giggles to see the teachers dressed up in wild outfits. It’s our students that make this night glow.” Families also walked away from the event with great prizes and giveaways from local businesses in the community. The generous contributions and support from these businesses show our students that the entire community wants to help celebrate their good behavior!
