Zion, IL.- On February 7, 2019, Elmwood Elementary School held a Family Math Night so parents and students could learn about fun, educational math games that can be played on-the-go. Families spent the night traveling to different math stations and learned to play various games. Each station was equipped with rules and had teachers present to help facilitate the games and answer any questions. Parents had a great time and were excited to have the opportunity to further their child’s education outside of the classroom. At the end of the night, each parent took home a folder full of game rules, cards, dice, dominos, and any other activity material that was used during the event. With the help of Elmwood’s staff, parents and students can now work on the math skills necessary for their grade level at home, in the car, or wherever they may be.
