Mundelein, IL. – Mundelein High School will host a College Planning Night with a focus on current juniors on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in Spanish in the District Meeting Room at the high school and Wednesday, Feb. 12 in English at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. MHS College Counselor Andrea Rusk will be joined on Feb. 11 by Rebeca Hernandez, assistant director of admissions at DePaul University and on Feb. 12 by Sarah Goldman, Chicago admissions counselor for the University of Oregon. They will provide insider information about the college admissions process.
Some of the subjects to be covered include current trends in college admissions, breaking down some of the myths, discussing timelines and expectations, explaining key components and providing advice to help students and their families to be as prepared as possible heading into senior year.
“This is an incredibly important evening for ALL college bound junior students and we strongly encourage both students and parents to attend,” Rusk explained.
Although the event specifically targets junior students, families of students in all grade levels are welcome to attend to get a “jump start” on college admission preparation.
