Prom to take place Friday
“Hollywood: a night in the spotlight” is the theme for Mundelein High School’s Prom 2019. The event will take place Friday, May 3, from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Marriott Lincolnshire. Prom is coordinated by the Student Leadership Organization and 525 tickets have been purchased by students.
During the week prior to the event upperclassmen vote for the Prom Court. Once the court is announced during dinner, prom-goers will then vote for King and Queen from among the court. Voting will be done either on their phones or at a designated area at the venue. The King and Queen will be crowned at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Prom-goers will have meal choices from strip steak with parmesan crust, mashed potatoes and asparagus; lemon herb crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus; or cheese ravioli in marinara sauce. All meals will include a salad and choice of dessert.
Cynthia Henrichs and Patrick Gaughan are co-sponsors of Student Leadership.
