Mundelein, IL.- Los grupos de jazz de Mundelein High School se presentarán en un concierto gratuito que se llevará a cabo el miércoles 15 de enero en el Auditorio MHS. Los grupos de actuación destacados incluyen el conjunto de jazz de honor, la orquesta de jazz y el combo de jazz.
Todos los músicos que participen en este concierto viajarán a West Lafayette, Indiana durante el siguiente fin de semana para presentarse en el Festival de Jazz de Purdue.
El concierto exhibirá música de Alan Baylock, Ahmad Jamal, Blue Mitchell, Maria Schneider, Don Menza, Gordon Goodwin, Cole Porter y otros.
Jerald Shelato y Andy Sturgeon dirigen el programa de música instrumental en MHS.
Jazz Concert set for Jan. 15
Mundelein High School’s jazz groups will perform in a free concert to be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the MHS Auditorium. Featured performance groups include the Honors Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Combo.
All of the musicians participating in this concert will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana during the following weekend to perform at the Purdue Jazz Festival.
The concert will showcase music by Alan Baylock, Ahmad Jamal, Blue Mitchell, Maria Schneider, Don Menza, Gordon Goodwin, Cole Porter and others.
