Waukegan, IL.- La Secretaria del Condado de Lake, Robin M. O’Connor, alienta a todos los ciudadanos que hagan escuchar sus voces emitiendo su voto en las elecciones primarias generales del 17 de marzo del 2020. Si su agenda ocupada o planes de viaje le impiden votar en el día de las elecciones, recuerde que puede votar de manera temprana o por correo. Las personas de 17 años de edad pueden registrarse y votar en las elecciones primarias si su 18º cumpleaños ocurrirá a más tardar el 3 de noviembre del 2020.
La votación por correo está disponible para todos los votantes registrados. Usted debe someter una solicitud de boleta, ya sea electrónica o impresa, y esta debe ser recibida por la oficina de la Secretaria del Condado de Lake a más tardar a las 5 p.m. del jueves, 12 de marzo. Su boleta electoral marcada con sus selecciones debe ser devuelta a la oficina de la Secretaria del Condado de Lake mediante entrega personal a más tardar a las 7 p.m. del 17 de marzo, o bien, puede ser devuelta por correo. Easy Ways to Vote
Lake County Clerk Robin M. O’Connor encourages all citizens to make sure your voice is heard by voting in the March 17, 2020 General Primary Election. If busy schedules or travel plans make it difficult for you to vote on Election Day, remember you can vote early or by mail. 17-year-olds may register and vote in the primary if 18th birthday is on or before November 3, 2020.
Voting by Mail is available to all registered voters. Your required electronic or paper ballot application must be received at the Lake County Clerk’s office by 5 PM on Thursday, March 12. Your voted ballot must be hand delivered to the Lake County Clerk’s office by 7 PM on Election Day, or it may be returned via mail with a postmark no later than March 17 and received in the Lake County Clerk’s office by March 31. Complete an online ballot application or track the Lake County Clerk’s receipt of your voted ballot by logging onto LakeVoterPower.info.
Early Voting opens on Monday, March 2, at 16 convenient locations. You may use any early voting site regardless of where you live in Lake County. Early voting days and hours vary at the different sites through March 16. Review the list to find a convenient day, time, and location. If you need to register for the first time or update your name or address on a current record, Grace Period Registration is available at every early voting site when open, your assigned Election Day voting site, or the Lake County Clerk’s office. You are required to meet all age, citizenship, and residency requirements; present two forms of valid identification; and vote at the time of registration. Both forms of identification must show your current name, and one must show your current physical Lake County street address.
