Round Lake, IL.- Más de 100 padres de la comunidad de Round Lake tomaron la decisión de apagar el televisor en casa y acudir a la invitación del Distrito Escolar de Round Lake, este pasado viernes 21 de febrero en la escuela secundaria Magee.
La reunión de padres fue con uno de los presentadores más carismáticos y solicitados, el psicólogo Ferney Ramírez con el tema del Éxito Académico Estudiantil. Los padres de Round Lake valoran mucho la forma tan única de presentar de Ferney porque “nos habla con el lenguaje común de los padres”, dice Margarita Portillo.
Ferney Ramírez habló sobre la importancia de establecer reglas y límites en el hogar, fomentar los valores y enseñar a los hijos a tomar buenas decisiones; pero sobre todo hablo sobre la importancia de que los padres tomen un tiempo de su ocupado día para hablar con sus hijos antes de que algunas malas decisiones los conduzcan a situaciones de peligro.
“El Éxito Académico Estudiantil no solo conlleva la parte académica, sino incluye estudiantes sanos, educados, respetuosos, orgullosos y agradecidos por la oportunidad de estudiar”, enfatizó Ferney.

Parents with Student Academic Success
More than 100 parents of Round Lake made the decision to turn off the TV at home and attend the round Lake School District’s seminar this past Friday, February 21 at Magee High School. This parenting meeting was presented by psychologist Ferney Ramirez, one of the most charismatic and requested presenters in the area. The topic of the seminar was Student Academic Success.
Round Lake’s parents highly value Ferney’s unique way of presenting because he “speaks to us in the common language of parents,” Ms. Portillo says. Mr. Ferney Ramirez talked about the importance of setting rules and limits at home, encouraging values and instructing children to make good decisions; but above all he talks about the importance of parents spending time with their children before their students engage in dangerous situations. “Student Academic Success not only involves the academic side, but includes healthy, educated, respectful, proud and grateful students for the opportunity to study,” Ferney emphasized.
