Beach Park, IL.
Man Arrested on Firearm Charges
An investigation by Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives led to the arrest of a Beach Park man who fled from deputies while armed with a loaded handgun.
On February 16, 2026, at approximately 7:05 a.m., Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Beach Road and Loyola Avenue in Beach Park for a report of a suspicious person yelling on his phone in the middle of the roadway. When deputies arrived, the individual fled on foot. While running, the subject threw a loaded handgun into the yard of a nearby residence.
