Park City, IL. – Una mujer fue asesinada por estrangulamiento en hechos registrados en esta localidad la madrugada del pasado sábado, informó la oficina del forense del Condado de Lake.
El sábado 1 de noviembre de 2025, aproximadamente a las 10:00 a.m., el Departamento de Policía de Park City respondió a un reporte de una persona causando disturbios en la cuadra 300 de la calle Betty. Al llegar, los agentes encontraron a un sujeto que declaró haber agredido a su madre en su domicilio. Los agentes ingresaron a la vivienda y encontraron a la víctima, una mujer de 66 años residente de Park City, inconsciente. El Departamento de Bomberos de Gurnee la trasladó al Centro Médico Advocate Condell, donde fue declarada muerta en la sala de emergencias.
Se notificó a la Oficina del Médico Forense del Condado de Lake, cuyos miembros se presentaron en el hospital.
La fallecida fue identificada como Dorrie Gessler, de 66 años y residente de Park City. El lunes 3 de noviembre de 2025, se realizó la autopsia en la Oficina del Médico Forense del Condado de Lake. Los resultados de la autopsia indican que Gessler falleció por estrangulamiento. La policía de Park City continúa investigando activamente el homicidio.
Park City Homicide Investigation
On Saturday, November 1, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Park City Police Department responded to the 300 block of Betty Street, for a report of a person in the road causing a disturbance. Park City police officers arrived and located a subject who reported he had caused harm to his mother at their residence. Officers entered the residence and located the victim, a 66-year-old of Park City, unresponsive. The Gurnee Fire Department responded and transported the victim to Advocate Condell Medical Center where she was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 66-year-old Dorrie Gessler of Park City. On Monday, November 3, 2025, an autopsy was conducted at the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Autopsy results indicate that Ms. Gessler died from strangulation. Park City Police continue to actively investigate the homicide.
